Recent knitting projects

I love these knitted baby cardigans. They were so easy to make and I think they turned out quite cute. This one was for my cousin's new baby girl and the boys picked out the yarn.

And this one was for my dear friend Ann's new baby boy Rylan.

Halloween

Mason had a couple of Halloween parties this week. Here he went to DeeAnne's.

At storytime they also had one.

Then tonight we went trick-or-treating. The last stop was my parents. I had to get a picture with my mom too.

Canning Peaches

Yesterday my neighbors and I canned 65 quarts of peaches in two hours. There were eight of us including Boston and Mason. It inspired me to can more. However, canning by myself won't be near as fun and it will take so much longer.

Back To School

Mason's 5th birthday

I can hardly believe my youngest is five years old. He wanted a pirate hat and pirate ship for his cake this year. Here are some pictures from his birthday party.

New Addition to Our Family

Abby, our airedale ran away again. She kept jumping out of her pen when we were at work. This time no one returned her to us or the pound. So, Adam had to get another dog. This time he got a yellow lab, a hunting dog. She is eight weeks and is a cutie. But this potty training is much harder with her than it was with my boys!

Candyland

Mason was invited to a Candyland themed party at his cousin Jess' food class at the high school. They had cupcakes, candy necklaces made from fruit loops, suckers and other goodies. He said they also had pizza but he didn't eat any because he just wanted the candy. He had a great time.

Basketball

We have been spending every Saturday for the last month at Boston's basketball games. He has two games each Saturday. They are only about an hour each, so it isn't a real long day. It has been fun to watch their improvement.

Boston's Award

Each month the elementary school has an award assembly. This month Boston was given the Academic Achievement Award for his class.

Hanging Out Clothes

I love my clothesline. I finally talked Adam into making me one last fall. It took about 10 1/2 years to get it. Even though it is COLD out. It is amazing what the sun can do. The clothes will dry, it just takes longer. Plus the smell of fresh air. The sun has a bleaching effect, it is cheeper than a drier. I love it for lots of reasons. And yes, those are clothes that I have hung out today and I have another load that will be going out in a few minutes.

Taxes

Yes, I am bragging. I am all done with my taxes. I went to Staples yesterday and bought Turbo Tax. I sat down last night and did them they are filed and everything. I am quite proud of myself. As I usually crunching to get them done by the deadline. However, after we got our last piece of tax info in the mail the day before yesterday. I decided I was going to get it done early. Yay!! It feels so good.

Knitting Accessories

I have recently started to knit. Or I should say attempt to knit. I have made a scarf. I am now working on a hat. I think I have finally figured out what I was doing it wrong after ripping it out nine times. Anyway, I decided I needed something to keep my yarn and needles in, so I made these.
